This afternoon, Holy Rosary Catholic Elementary School was placed in a Hold and Secure on the advice of Guelph Police Services due to an ongoing investigation in a neighbouring community. A Hold and Secure requires the school to lock and monitor all exterior doors and windows, keep students and staff inside until the protocol is lifted, and restrict entry into the school. This was done out of an abundance of caution, at no point were staff or students at risk. We prepare both staff and students for emergency situations like this and are grateful for their cooperation under these circumstances.
